Borderline Panic, Constant Tension and Hypervigilance
We all know when we have eaten too much, drunk to much or pushed ourselves a little too hard in the garden or gym. Knowing when our head is too full can be a little more challenging. We retreat into safe and often bad coping habits that can become normalised behaviour and just “what we do”. Men are particularly bad at this.
It is only after we have found help and understanding, our stress level reduced, fight or flight calmed, that we realise how bad things had become. It seems like something is missing and there is. The borderline panic, the constant tension and hypervigilance has subsided. It takes a little getting used too.
I found Karen to be very understanding and empathetic, her guidance and advice encouraging, plus the therapy room was a bright calm space with a woodland view. There is no quick fix and there is a little home work, but that is simple enough to complete. There was no requirement to drag up the past or open boxes that did not need to be opened, which was welcome. I have found there is always a degree of discomfort during therapy, confronting things, thinking things through.
The hypnosis within each session left me feeling calm, relaxed and settled. I enjoyed it very much. We all benefit from help and advice when delivered in the right way. I have got to where I need to be now, but I may return to reinforce what I have learned or process something else in the future. Highly recommended and worth the commitment from both parties.
