When I first met Karen I was suffering from extreme stress, high blood pressure, excess weight and it felt as if I carried the whole world on my shoulders. After a very lengthy discussion and floods of tears on my part, Karen put together a plan that specifically addressed my problems.  Over the ensuing weeks she gave me the tools to help myself and also explained, in simple form, how a certain part of the brain works, which enabled me to understand my behaviour and how I could change it.
